Job Title: Maintenance Technician

A pizza processing company located in Manteno, IL is looking to add up to 20 new employees to the team!

Seeking candidates that have GMP experience, is comfortable working in a warmer environment, and is seeking a long term opportunity.

Description:

+ Candidates will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance on all production machinery.

+ Candidates will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical repairs on machinery.

+ Candidates will be working on applicating machines, conveyors, packaging machinery, presses, box erectors, compressors, pumps, motors, mixers, box makers, and ovens.

+ Hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.

+ General facility maintenance (plumbing, lighting, painting, etc.).

+ Will do electrical maintenance up to 480v 3 phase, replace motors, fuses, sensors, photo eyes, switches, etc.

+ Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

+ Welding and fabrication when needed.

+ Inspect and replace belts, bearings, chains, shafts, gearboxes, etc.

+ 2nd and 3rd shift plus OT, will train on 1st shift, usually 48-50 hours a week, plus shift differential once on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Work Environment

The production floor is divided into a toppings department with four lines in a cooler environment and a bakery side with nine lines in a warmer setting. The facility houses approximately 100 people per shift, identified by helmet color, in a clean and well-organized space that smells delightfully like pizza. Ambient temperatures range from 40°F to 45°F. Work includes packing, stacking cases, sweeping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety attire required includes smocks, hair and beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and slip-resistant shoes. Work hours cover three shifts, with mandatory Saturdays if scheduled.
