Our Marketing and Loyalty team is the strategic force behind United’s industry-leading brand and experience, supporting revenue growth by turning customers into lifelong United flyers. The Senior Manager Co-Brand Card Holder Engagement will be responsible for all aspects of cardholder engagement and retention initiatives for the United Mileage Plus co-brand credit card programs. This position will lead the team responsible for driving cardholder spend engagement through promotional offer design & delivery, multi-channel communication strategies and campaign results tracking/optimization. This role will also have the oversight on the cardholder lifecycle strategy to strengthen the loyalty to our core credit card products, with strong focuses on new cardholder onboarding, re-engagement of down-trending/inactive cardholders and increasing account retention.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Spend Engagement Offer & Channel Strategy and Execution

+ Card member Lifecycle & Trigger Marketing Strategy and Execution

+ Performance tracking & analysis

+ Enhance benefits and value to cardholders through benchmarking & innovation

+ Develop and maintain the positive and collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders including the issuer and creative agencies

NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 70% of the time onsite at our Chicago office location.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration or communication (or other related fields) in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience

+ Domestic travel – up to 25%

+ Minimum 5-years of experience in marketing, finance, loyalty and/or payment card industries

+ Marketing strategy and execution across email, direct mail, print and web channels

+ Partnership marketing and integrated marketing

+ Strong project management & analytical skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication

+ Planning and organization skills; ability to multi-task

+ Ability to collaborate, influence and gain alignment cross-functionally

+ Ability to manage conflicts

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ MBA or 7+ year of relevant experience

+ Prior loyalty marketing or lifecycle management/CRM experience

+ Prior airline or travel industry experience

+ Prior partnership or credit card marketing experience

+ Innovation and continuous improvement skills

+ Comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving
