Job Description

Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search engine marketing on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking top performing Account Executives with search and native advertising experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering customized solutions aligning to the client’s advertising needs.

The Account Manager (AM) enables Microsoft to better serve clients by applying obsession to what clients care about and need, ensuring our Microsoft Advertising story is valued and understood, and building and maintaining trusted-advisor relationships with day-to-day practitioner contacts at advertiser/agency. The AM drives both revenue and client satisfaction.

The AM is a core member of the account team focused on driving data-driven optimizations aligned with client needs, executing campaigns, and driving coordination or internal resources for excellence in execution of core tasks, account transitions, and client account health.

Responsibilities

Account Planning & Management

+ Plans with Purpose Through Client Planning:?Partners with the team, including AEs,?Specialist team to develop and execute MSA?account plan, leveraging winning sales?strategies replicated across clients and client?types. ?Learns?about client’s?business drivers,?compelling events, seasonality of business?to?identify opportunities to optimize?consumption. Plan:?Partners with the Account Executive in?development of sales plans for the client.?Goals focus on Search and incubation product?growth, as well as cross Microsoft?opportunities. Agrees to shared accountability?with the AE and team.

Client Engagement

+ Influences Existing Digital Marketing Managers?and Directors, Digital Buying Groups. Acts as a Sales Challenger: Always leads with?insights and data; tailors’ content and messages?about ways to grow and optimize campaigns to?increase business results. Influences Stakeholders and Decision Makers by sharing data insights and product?demonstrations, bring to life how MSA can?increase business results.

Disciplined Seller

+ Optimizes the existing book?of client business to achieve?sales targets. Delivers excellent sales hygiene, consistently executes against?pipeline, opportunity management, and revenue?goals. Uses a solution selling mindset to identify across Microsoft opportunities that deliver end-to-end beneficial client outcomes. Brings the best resources to overcome blockers and ensure success.

Sales Closer

+ Supports?Account Executive to build negotiation plan to ensure?smooth closing and timely renewal?of contracts. Maintains a positive?approach during difficult objections & negotiations. Demonstrates experience in MSA’s?features and incentives, including incubations?products. Able to upsell and increase consumption?of existing products, identify winning sales?strategies, package them for efficiency and replicate?them across similar client types.

Sales Excellence

+ Acts as a thought leader on industry trends as well as of technology and key performance indicators (KPIs); leverages competitive knowledge to elevate client’s success and help create solutions that can generate positive revenue impact for the business.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

+ 6+ years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions

+ OR Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 4+ years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions.

+ OR Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 2+ years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

+ 8 + years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions

+ o OR Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 5+ years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions

+ o OR Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 4+ years relevant work experience in Advertising Sales, focusing on Search and other performance marketing solutions

Advertising Client Success IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 – $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 – $183,000 per year.
