Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer your primary role will be to support assembly operations with the necessary tooling and processes in an efficient and timely manner. You will also be responsible for continually developing new processes and tooling to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Your duties will include evaluating existing manufacturing processes to identify areas of improvement, defining and implementing new or changed manufacturing processes, and providing line support for assembly operations. In addition, you will handle specifications, designs, sourcing, and project management of tooling and equipment projects. You will also be required to gather and organize necessary data for justification of projects requiring capital investment. This role also involves leading customer groups on tours of the factory. This role requires a self-starter who is able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Quincy, Illinois.
Work Environment
You will be working in both an office and manufacturing floor environment. While your primary area will be the Steel plant, some projects will require you to work in the aluminum plant as well. You will be part of a team consisting of approximately 8 Engineers and 3-4 Technicians.
