Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Job Description

As a Firmware Engineer, you will write and maintain code for embedded systems, focusing on microcontroller-based products, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware components. This role involves knowledge transfer, working closely with a retiring engineer to learn about existing firmware designs, best practices, and domain-specific knowledge. You will also understand hardware requirements and collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components. Additionally, you will gain experience in FPGA design and programming for Head-Up Displays (HUDs) and ensure compliance with DO-254 guidelines in safety-critical aerospace systems.

Top Skills’ Details

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Entry-level position; prior internship or coursework experience in firmware development is desirable.

Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++.

Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.

Exposure to Xilinx FPGAs and VHDL.

Coursework: Completion of Analog and Digital Design courses during your academic journey.

Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team and learn from experienced engineers.
