Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

+ Performs sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products to assure they meet established specifications

+ Evaluates Bill of Material (BOM) for completeness and proper documentation.

+ Records test data and maintains laboratory work list in LIMS system to assure timely release of finished products.

+ Reports nonconformance with immediate corrective actions in LIMS system.

+ Performs required inspection for manufacturing equipment, storage equipment, and sanitation cleaning.

+ Participates in check sample program with outside institution(s) and in internal proficiency program to verify accuracy.

+ Follows proper GMPs and GLPs.

+ Uses proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

+ Assists with Raw Material testing, COA review, and COA filing as needed.

+ Inspect Finished Product Packaging to ensure label and configurations are correct

+ Approve and apply final wrap with automated equipment

+ Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Chemistry (or related)

+ 6+ Months of experience in a laboratory
