As a member of our IT Group and Specialty team, you’ll primarily be supporting the dental insurance side of our business. This will include such areas as provider data management for dental, health care transactions, etc.

The Senior Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Software Engineer:

+ Designs, develops, supports, and puts into production software applications

+ Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.

+ Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes.

+ Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues.

+ Begins to influence department’s strategy.

+ Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

+ Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

+ 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

+ 4+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, and Mainframe

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master’s Degree

+ 2+ years of experience with CA Gen, CICS, and/or DB2

+ Prior experience within the insurance industry or with insurance products/platforms

+ Prior experience with MQ and/or Java

+ Prior experience with MetaVance Platform

Work at Home Guidance

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$104,800 – $144,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
