Aon is looking for an Investment Operations Analyst in Chicago

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is focused on supporting the Investment Operations team. Responsibilities include:

+ Verifying and documenting the settlement of trades, cash transfers and other directives to custodians and investment managers

+ Directing wire payments and cash transfers

+ Verifying the calculations of investment manager invoices

+ Maintaining/Updating project milestones and timelines and various tracking spreadsheets

+ Reviewing trades, cash transfers and other directions to custodians for accuracy

+ Creating and running reports from internal software as well as the web portals of custodians and investment managers

+ Creating/maintaining/updating written procedures

+ Compiling information for disclosure requirements

+ Ad-hoc requests supporting operations and/or client service team

This position is part of a fast paced, growing global investment consulting group. The role will work closely with other operations teams regarding onboarding, trading and monitoring of investment consulting clients. Our clients include large market retirement plans, foundations and charitable organizations. The analyst will interact often with client facing investment consultants and the custodians and investment managers of our clients and conduct follow up communication as necessary. The role will also assist on special projects and new responsibilities will be available over time. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

+ High attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

+ Excellent proofing skills

+ Cash and trade handling experience

+ Responsive to requests from clients and colleagues

+ Ability to work against a deadline and handle daily tasks

+ Ability to prioritize and self-schedule deliverable obligations and meet deadlines

+ Ability to work independently and with a team

+ Outstanding analytical and communication skills

+ Excellent sense of ownership, urgency and drive

+ Outstanding computer skills and ability to learn new software with basic training

+ Excellent Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Office software and Adobe Acrobat

+ Experience with trust accounting, security trading and custody settlement procedures a plus

+ Experience working in the operations of an investment management firm a plus

+ Experience with Bloomberg and other Order Management Systems a plus

+ Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power PI a plus

+ Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, one year+ of investment space experience is desired

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $61,000 to $82,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
