Job Description
Position: Lead
Department: Shipping and Receiving Night 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm (Lead)
Position Summary : Responsible for supervising a team of Shipping clerks, managing shipping schedules, and maintaining accurate records of shipments. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role. Duties and Responsibilities:+ Supervise and assign work for employees.
+ Train new hires to meet department and company standards.
+ Involved with employee’s performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
+ Coordinate shipping activities, including packing, labeling, and loading/unloading shipments.
+ Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
+ Prepare shipping document, including bills of landing and shipping labels.
+ Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
+ Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity.
+ Address and resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet delivery deadlines and resolve customer inquiries.
+ Communicate shipping updates and issues to management.
+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands+ Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
+ Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.
+ Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.
+ Must be able to bend and squat frequently.
+ Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.
Required Knowledge and/or Experience+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
+ Ability to read English.
+ Ability to read picklist and orders.
+ Must have strong math and metrology skills.
+ Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
