Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator. Our Woodridge, IL location is the leader in the distribution of finished electrical products to multiple segments. These include utilties, hospitals, data centers, arenas, and aerospace. The Shipping Support Clerk role offers 40-hour paid week, full benefits, 401K match plan, and vacation. ?The working hours would be 8:00am-4:30pm and days being Monday-Friday.?
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for administering transportation in the Shipping Department. Daily activities include identifying consolidation opportunities, quoting, scheduling, documentation and freight bill exception auditing and approval.
In this role you will:
+ Confirm pickups with transportation partners electronically or over the phone
+ Ensuring high service levels on tendered shipments (tracking and monitoring to delivery)
+ Fielding internal customer service requests and inquiries
+ Changes to orders (terms, carrier)
+ Handling and/or routing order-specific requests
+ Rate-shopping non-standard orders for sales quotation/bid purposes
+ Identify qualified potential transportation providers to handle shipments
+ Secure quote and calculate markup
+ Provide quick turnaround to sales to help secure the order
+ Reconciling non-matching A/P invoices
+ Root cause analysis of non-matching invoices
+ Negotiation and confirmation of routine invoice reductions with transportation partners
+ Escalation of major exceptions to the Shipping Manager
+ Payment approval for variances
Qualifications:
Basic (Required):
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors
+ Live within a 50-mile radius of the described location
Preferred:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Understanding of carrier capabilities
+ SAP and WMS Experience a plus
Skills:
+ Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors

+ Time management, multi-tasking, ability to perform under pressure
