Position Summary

Responsible for installing, securing, and monitoring networks (LAN and WAN). Assists in establishing a secure computer network and keeping it operational. Performs a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and training tasks to ensure the network performance meets company and user satisfaction.

Specific Responsibilities:

Network Application Administration
Ongoing documentation of Network Infrastructure
Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and scheduling upgrades
Escalating problems to vendors
Work with IT Security to implement and maintain security systems
Advise on network configuration setups
Design network configurations and setups for compatibility, functionality, and security.
Manage network and server vulnerabilities
Support Disaster Recovery operations
On Site Network Preventive Maintenance to all Branch Locations as necessary
Perform proof of concept testing of technical design on new and existing systems
Research and stay current with infrastructure technologies, issues, and vulnerabilities
Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
Provide IT Staff with solutions/recommendations and act as a resource for remediation of vulnerabilities
Provide friendly and responsive customer service
Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information
Must be available to adhere to a flexible work schedule
Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

Knowledge of Windows servers, database servers, and desktop products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of computer network systems, procedures, techniques and applications
Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN protocols
Ability to work individually and in a group environment
Must be dedicated and reliable
Must have positive attitude

Education/ Experience/Training

2 years experience within an information technology organization, with a concentration on Network Administration
Experience with a network monitoring tool
WAN and LAN Implementation
Working with VMWare, Cisco and Windows Server management
Working on multiple projects
CCNA and MCSA certification a plus, but not required
Network Engineering and Active Directory background preferred
High school diploma required

Travel (local) to various company locations
Employee specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines or non-production maintenance windows
