Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Science Operations and Programs position provides project and relationship management, operational support and administrative leadership to all scientific activities within the ADA's Practice Institute to deliver results supporting the division and Association goals. The position manages project timelines, processes and stakeholders related to the development of evidence-based guidelines, product evaluation activities and manages operations of the Council on Scientific Affairs (CSA). The position develops Council and Board reports, manages vendors, contracts and program expenses, and liaises with volunteers and internal/external project members. The manager also fosters positive relationships with the scientific community through effective communication and strong collaborative efforts, supporting ADA positions.
Must Have:
Bahelor's degree
5 years minimum experience in healthcare or research setting
Ability to multi-task and manage several priorities and projects, and work with external organizations
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, independent decision making, written and verbal communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of and experience with cross divisional project management with high priority objectives and goals

Comfortable managing stakeholder relationships and bringing groups to consensus
Ability to lead cross-divisional teams on projects with high priority objectives and goals
Make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
Able to synthesize complex or scientific information in digestible format
Communicate comfortable and confidently with internal and external stakeholders and project team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Adaptive
Some evening/weekend work
Travel once a year to Association annual meeting
Nice to Have:
Agile based project management or formal project management training (Agile or otherwise)
Knowledge of scientific principles, research or dentistry
Ability to lead and execute change management plans and programs
Experience with the dental industry, practicing dentist and members, etc.
Excellent problem solving, analytical, consultative, and customer service skills
