Job Summary
The Associate Director, Research Integrity reviews clinical research protocols, assists investigators in the preparation of well-written protocols and consent documents, leads project teams, and serves as an advocate for and advisor to clinical investigators. This position reports to the Director of Research Integrity and acts as Acting IRB Director role when the IRB Director or IRB Chair is not available. This position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in human subject research protections, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, the ability to function as part of an integrated team, flexibility, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of organization, and the ability to organize and motivate others.

Hours: Standard business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Onsite
Required Travel: May be requested on occasion

What you will do
Create policies and procedures that are compliant with federal regulations and current best practices
Assist in the implementation of software and go-live support
Direct IRB staff and manage daily operations and performance, manage oversight of all Institutional Review Boards
Develop, establish and coordinate IRB services and processes to support research collaborations across the organization
Maintain Federal-Wide Assurance (FWA) and ensure compliance with its terms, as well as Endeavor policies, federal regulations, and state and local laws relevant to the conduct of human subjects research
Guide the IRB and HRPP staff in the interpretation of regulations and compliance reporting requirements. Maintain current knowledge of regulations and best practices as they evolve
Oversee in-depth audits and investigations related to human subject research and ensure alignment of all related activities within the enterprise
Establish effective communication pathways with the Endeavor research community
Assist in the preparation of quarterly performance metrics and establish data-driven program improvements

What you will need:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Licenses/Certifications: CIP or CCRC preferred
Minimum Work Experience:7 years of experience in a research setting with direct experience managing people and IRB activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience managing a team, including establishing and measuring objectives, optimizing work assignments and facilitating career development and staff retention
Strong understanding of federal and state laws and regulations governing human subjects research
Ability to analyze complex scientific and ethical issues, creativity in finding solutions and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters
