Vision: The vision for this position is to help Alta future proof our battery electric infrastructure platform. The position is integral in helping our customers answer the question: "We want to electrify our fleet. Now what?" Globally, we are at a tipping point regarding EVSE charging, and Alta needs to be at the forefront of charging, energy storage and micro grid technologies. This expertise will need to roll up to the director of energy.
Responsibilities: Our goal is to build a scalable energy platform which can be leveraged by Alta Equipment Group, Alta eMobility, and other markets as they evolve. This individual will solidify our holistic approach to from initial call to establishing and managing long term service and support of deployed assets. Responsibilities include; sales, application engineering, project management, TCO and field support activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building out the BEV infrastructure platform and identifying sales verticals including but not limited to: OEM Vehicle Sales Support, Workplace Charging, DOE initiatives, state specific key stake holder platforms, to name a few.


Responsibilities:
Leading sales and partnerships globally for electric vehicle infrastructure, while taking individual responsibility for sales in North America
Building and developing the business development skills and activities of EVSE network. Coaching team members to set and meet targets, define and complete activities tied to targets
Fostering a relevant internal and external network
Identifying and nurturing customer relationships in North America, discovering needs, quantifying how the team can add value, generating sales and providing solutions as an individual contributor
Owning global positioning in market and external relations in collaboration with Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs
Developing knowledge of market needs and relative strengths and weaknesses in meeting them
Monitoring, managing and reporting on the sales funnel
Qualifications:
7+ years sales experience in the truck industry, electric vehicle or advanced clean transportation industry.
Sales management experience in the truck industry; ICE, electric vehicle, H2 or NGV or advanced clean transportation industry.
A passion for Alternative Fueled Trucks for national accounts
Ability to evaluate opportunities, prioritize, and close; results-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work and communicate with both functional staff and C-suite level staff
Experience managing and collaborating with a sales team.
Proven ability to build out a sales team
Experienced in marketing, market intelligence and driving a robust go to market strategy for your responsibilities and your teams
Experience selling to National Fleet Managers and executives; commercial, government, municipalities.
Ability to set sales objectives, forecast sales, and complete reporting in a CRM
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent presentation skills; public speaking experience
Act with integrity
Willingness to go the extra mile
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proven experience in influencing and leading
Currently residing in the US and legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Travel: Travel is required 50% of the time."
