Job Description

Senior Associate, Financial Due Diligence (Multiple Positions), PwC US Business Advisory LLP, Chicago, IL. Help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets. Provide both corporate and financial buyers solutions by analyzing and validating all the financial, commercial, operational, and strategic assumptions being made. Use data-driven insights to help organizations ensure maximum value for their company. Support business development activities to help identify and research opportunities for new/existing clients. Demonstrate in-depth expertise.

Examine accounting records, financial statements and reports to perform financial due diligence. Assess quality of earnings, working capital and potential liabilities of target companies to prepare advice for clients pursuing transactions. Resolve issues in technical accounting areas such as U.S. reporting requirements and standards. Prepare financial reports related to business combinations such as acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and structured investments.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 2 years of related work experience.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

• Providing financial due diligence and other transaction-related services to large company or private equity fund clients;
• Assessing quality of earnings, net assets and cash flows;
• Examining accounting records, accounting systems, and preparing financial reports, especially pertaining to business combinations; and
• Analyzing financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management.

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

Travel requirement: Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% required.
