Position Overview

 

The End User Support Endpoint Engineer works with other infrastructure and server engineers to validate and test software deployment packages. They possess strong working knowledge and experience supporting desktop hardware and software. Providing escalation support to desktop technicians. This role requires moderate knowledge of application packaging, patching and deployment practices including reviewing log files for troubleshooting post deployment.

 

What Youll Do

  • Manages engineering service request queue and resolves daily hardware and software service and support requests. Adheres to established service level agreements, thoroughly documenting work.

  • Software deployment technology Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) also referred to as SCCM.

    • Troubleshoot - new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes

    • Manage and support the patching console of 6,500 plus endpoints throughout the enterprise.

    • Create and manage enterprise application collections (e.g. testing, exceptions and etc.) for deployments and update cycles.

    • Create, manage and test collections for patching (e.g. 1st, 2nd and 3rd party) and application deployments.

  • Identify opportunities to automate operational processes across the desktop environment.

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Desktop or Systems Engineering experience

  • Working knowledge of MECM (SCCM) and Windows patching processes

  • Intermediate experience working in an Active Directory environment including Local and Group Policy

  • Understand Active Directory and Local Group Policy design and have working proficiency of Forests, Domains, Trusts

  • Scripting/automation (Python, Shell, Bash, PowerShell) with API experience
