Under limited supervision, design and deliver training for the customer service department.
Provide support to the training department and new hire on-boarding.
Act as a lead in the Training department.

 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver general or specialized training as required. May include Customer Service, Catalog Sales, SRS, Data Entry, BMITs.
  • Ensure training curriculum addresses the needs of the business and employees. Customize training programs as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation specific to Customer Service and the departments within. Prepare room and materials, coordinate speakers/videos, present company information and address questions. Connect new hires with needed resources and address their questions.
  • Schedule and coordinate the training calendar. Organize and prepare all participant workbook materials including handouts, case studies, role-plays, videos, etc. Update training examples and ensure test client (SAP) is ready before each new training session.
  • Enter and maintain course information in Compass site. Distribute pre-class assignments, ensure approvals, and distribute invitations and reminders to participants. Ensure participants complete required pre and post class work and/or tests. Track and maintain employee training records.
  • Administer new hire and hiring manager surveys regarding on-boarding process and compile reports. Review results to identify areas of opportunity and provide recommendations to enhance training programs.
  • Monitor newly trained representatives during the first three weeks of employment to assess training effectiveness. Identify gaps and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Ensure retention and understating of training materials.
  • Makes recommendations to Training Manager on new training or technology.
  • May represent Training department in strategic planning sessions.
  • Mentors and guides Training Specialists, Associates and Coordinators. Acts as lead for training team.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 4 years of training experience Experience providing training and developing process documentation/user manuals. Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.
