Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant, Aviation and Transportation Department, will assist with department activities, projects, and planning.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the university Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the university's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
- Support operations at flight dispatch desk
- Assist training in applied aviation simulator lab and monitor the sim lab for equipment maintenance and use
- Assist with departmental recruitment outreach, career events, and presentations
- Assist with data and information collection for departmental research projects
- Work with department professors in updating instructional and other resource materials
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair(s) in Aviation and Transportation
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in one of the university's graduate programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced FAA certificates/ratings preferred (flight, maintenance, and/or dispatch).

Work hours
Part time; minimum of 20 hours per week; 12 month position
