Job Description
Cision US Inc. seeks a Sr. Data Scientist for its Chicago, IL location (may work remotely).
Duties: Lead and execute critical data analysis and machine learning tasks within our organization. Use data to provide valuable insights and drive data-driven decision-making. Design and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models, identify patterns, trends, and outliers in data to solve complex business problems. Build predictive and prescriptive models to guide future actions. Conduct advanced analytics and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Prepare detailed reports and presentations, making insights accessible and actionable for others. Research, develop, and finetune large language models to solve complex natural language processing (NLP) problems involving big data with cloud technology. Reduce customer churn by disambiguating author names from top news agencies for 500k articles coming in daily, assign correct author to correct article and maintain author database. Extract entity mentions such as ticker symbols, product, person names, and organizations mentioned from daily articles in multiple languages to allow reporting and analytics for SaaS platform. Build scalable machine learning applications and jobs powered by cloud computing with high availability and low latency for daily data processing. Document experiments and results to share with cross-functional and data-science teams to help make informed decisions. Utilize open-source technologies such as Python, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Google Cloud, and Pyspark for distributed computing, machine learning algorithms to deliver enterprise level applications.
