UIC is seeking a Medical Social Consultant to join our College of Medicine, Department of Medicine Illinois DocAssist project team. This role is an integral part of the project team. In collaboration with and under the direction of the Associate Program Director and Senior Medical Director/Principal Investigator, the Medical Social Consultant provides coordination for communications and outreach, data collection, progress reporting, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serves as first line of customer service for project communication.
Develop and coordinate marketing plan for project.
Schedule trainings/workshops for project.
Provide education to healthcare providers statewide on Illinois Doc Assist programs and processes (some travel required).
Facilitate financial reporting.
Organize and lead internal team meetings as assigned.
Communicate directly with university specific units and external grant partners to facilitate project work.
Assist in developing and implementing protocols and procedures for the programs ongoing operation and improvement.
Collect and review data, evaluations and surveys to develop reports for appropriate agencies and grant sponsors. Evaluate data to determine project effectiveness and areas needing improvement.
Write project progress reports.
Assist in writing grant proposals as assigned.
Apply expertise in social work and psychotherapy to the development of mental health education content.
Provide presentations to practice groups for the purpose of outreach and education.
Apply for and manage submissions for CME courses.
Manage and update web content working closely with IT and marketing personnel.
Work with multi-disciplinary team of clinical professionals and academic professionals to develop algorithms, tools and resources for primary care providers.
Act as task supervisor to Resource and Referral Specialists and Administrative aid on specific assigned tasks and initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Associate Program Director and Senior Medical Director to ensure project goals are met.
When required for staff coverage reasons, perform all tasks of Resource and Referral Specialist and Administrative Aid as needed.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
