Job Title: Consultant
Offered Wage: $144,560.00/year
Location: This position is fully remote and reports to TRC Solutions' office in Chicago, IL; candidates may work from a home office anywhere in the United States.
Duties: Understands business and technical problems and implements solutions for GE utility applications, including Electric Office, Physical Network Inventory, and Gas Distribution Office. Leads and performs application design, development, and integration across multiple technologies, processes, and business areas. Creates strategy and implements technology solutions for multiple third-party integrations with GE Smallworld suites based on customer requirements. Designs high and low-level GE Smallworld suite projects, including web and mobile suites. Develops custom applications leveraging Magik and Angular JS languages on GE Smallworld desktop and web applications. Conducts user training, performs periodic system health checks, and interfaces with customers for future enhancements.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Developer (or a closely related occupation) supporting and implementing GIS software solutions and integrations and resolving customer issues related to the GE Smallworld product suite, web, and mobile applications.
Or, alternatively:
Bachelor's degree (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer (or a closely related occupation) supporting and implementing GIS software solutions and integrations and resolving customer issues related to the GE Smallworld product suite, web, and mobile applications.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated expertise (DE) leveraging the GE Smallworld suite of products, including Core, Electric Office (EO), Gas Distribution Office (GDO), Network Viewer, and GE Mobile Enterprise System (GEMES);
DE integrating third-party applications to achieve customer functional operations leveraging GE Smallworld EO, Physical Network Inventory (PNI), and GDO utility applications;
DE performing Smallworld data modeling, GE mobile enterprise system deployment, and synchronizing mobile data with the Smallworld database to maintain accurate network information;
DE performing Kubernetes cluster deployments to implement highly-scalable solutions to web and mobile applications for Smallworld Electric Office (EO) and Gas Distribution Office (GDO) products; and,
DE developing custom software applications leveraging GE Smallworld product suite, including Core, EO, GDO, PNI, Network Viewer, and GEMES and coding in Magik, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
