Position Highlights:
Position: Technical Specialist
Location: Northwest Community Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm, w/o week-end and rotating holidays
What you will need:
License: Certification: Current MLS/MT (ASCP) registration or equivalent.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology program from and accredited institution
Experience: Minimum of two years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing.
Skills: Essential Functions:
Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various Laboratory areas. Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results, and she/he takes corrective action or notifies appropriate supervisory personnel. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work cooperatively with others and inspire their cooperation.
Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to be responsible for assisting in the supervision of a particular laboratory discipline, including maintenance, ordering, QC, method evaluation and any other functions deemed necessary by the Technical Specialist or Manager. To perform a variety of routine and special Laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director.
