The hiring range for this role is: $260,000.00 - $350,000.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range andthis hiringrange may also be modified in the future. A candidate's position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.This job is also eligible for annual bonusincentivepay.

The Vice President, Strategic Operations is a senior executive role that reports directly to the COO and supports the strategic vision, operations, and governance of the organization. The VP, Strategic Operations acts as a trusted advisor to the COO and CEO and facilitates cross-functional collaboration, oversees special projects, and ensures alignment and communication among internal and external stakeholders. The VP, Strategic Operations drives the management process across Strategic Solutions and Operations, develops and manages a robust management process across the organization to ensure we have an effective process to align on critical priorities and objectives and then allocate resources and investment across the organization to support our collective success.

Primary Job Functions

Provide strategic counsel and operational support to the COO and CEO on a wide range of issues, including organizational development, change management, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement.

Coordinate and prioritize the COO's agenda, ensuring that key objectives and initiatives are met and that the COO is well prepared for internal and external meetings and events.

Ensures that strategic goals, priorities, and performance indicators are clearly defined, monitored, and reported.

Develops and manages a robust management process across the organization to ensure there's an effective process to align on critical priorities and objectives

Allocates resources and investment across the organization to support our collective success

Key Management Processes

Reports directly to the COO of BCBSA as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

Works closely with the COO and CEO to establish and add value to the organizations vision

Executes significant strategic, operational and cultural agendas calling for considerable changes

Assists the Senior Leadership to navigate through uncertainty and change; develops agendas for Senior Leadership Team meetings to ensure outcomes achieved; can anticipate and avert problems

Ensures the COO's time is appropriately sequenced and balanced to achieve desired outcomes - both short term and long term; negotiating and triaging with key stakeholders as needed

Anticipates the need for and creates new management processes to drive efficiency and outcomes

Manage special projects and initiatives as directed by the COO and CEO. (10%)

Act as a liaison between the CEO and other stakeholders, both internal and external. (10%)

Monitor progress of key projects and initiatives, providing regular updates to the COO and CEO

Partners with the COO to develop and manage the annual Board Strategy agenda

Facilitates strategic conversations and decision-making with leadership across the organization

Reviews materials, presentations, and at times is the first review for materials shared with COO, senior leadership team and/or Board materials
