Position Summary:
The Inventory Coordinator monitors, communicates, and collaborates with key internal departments as well as Customer Care team and customers regarding inventory availability in an effort to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. Support sales growth through delivering exceptional customer support. Participate in projects as assigned by management and act as a team representative on interdepartmental project teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with planning, marketing, production, and supply chain regarding availability of materials, material movements, discontinuation of products, part number changes and general inventory management to ensure timely shipment of customer orders.
Develop communication related to allocation, backorder, discontinuation, or substitution and cascade the information within the Customer Care group.
Analyze and monitor stock levels, interface with various internal departments regarding safety stock levels, pending orders and ordering of materials.
Routinely cleanse and report on monthly status of global backorders and short shelf-life materials in an effort to improve OTIF, prevent scrap, and avoid technical, quality and capacity issues.
Develop, authorize, and initiate allocation plans for various materials to protect product and keep customers and customer service team informed of lead times and/or delays.
Manage fulfillment of customer orders by working closely with Logistics and Marketing regarding product allocations and keeping customers informed of lead times and/or delays.
Document customer Logistical Complaints in SAP. Determine root cause and appropriate solution; process replacement orders, credit/debit memos, &/or returns as appropriate.
Communicate errors to applicable departments for review and corrective action.
Process reports and assist with responsibilities to address internal/external customer needs as requested by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required with 2 years of experience with direct customer contact

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience in problem-resolution and providing a high-level of customer satisfaction.
Experience with inventory, logistics, order fulfillment or related activities preferred.
Experience working business-to-business preferred
Experience with SAP preferred
