This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois. Hybrid work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in hybrid work are encouraged to apply.

Purpose:

+ Directs maintenance, optimization and building of system solutions to enhance operational and analytical capabilities of contracting, revenue management, and compliance.

+ Leads business in coordination of revenue solutions vendor management.

+ Drives long-term strategic roadmap for revenue solutions utilizing strong subject matter expertise.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

+ Directs upgrade / implementation and maintenance of revenue management and analytic solutions by representing Astellas business.

+ Leads collaboration with Contracts and Pricing, Astellas IT, vendors, and other key stakeholders in areas related to revenue management solutions and data analytics.

+ Serves as the Project Manager in the implementation / upgrade of revenue management solutions by helping prioritize key issues, ensure communication consistency, identifying project uncertainties, alternative resource plans, and other risks.

+ Responsible for understanding all revenue management systems utilized by the Contracts & Pricing team, understanding overall business requirements, and translating these into enhancements to existing system(s) and/or new software specifications.

+ Collaborates with Astellas IT to ensure revenue management system is flexible and scalable to accommodate potential future contracting strategies and required contract operations activities.

+ Work with Contracts and Pricing teams to define business processes that support achievement of operational efficiencies. Provide ongoing leadership regarding operational efficiency.

+ Builds long-term strategic roadmap for revenue solutions, including revenue management, analytics, accruals, gross-to-net and forecasting. Responsible for implementing the long term road map and ensuring success.

+ Directs selected special projects related to Revenue Management and Contract Data Analytics.

+ Ensures appropriate SOX controls are in place, and development of “Audit-ready” documentations.

+ Fosters an environment that focuses upon process improvements to drive greater efficiencies and stakeholder value.

+ Responsibilities will have a direct impact on the enhancement of infrastructure to support the efficiency and accuracy of contracting activities, including Managed Care rebates, Medicaid rebates, Government Pricing, 340b duplicate discounts, Chargebacks, Institutional Rebates, Gross to Net forecasting, accrual management, deal modelling, analytic capabilities, Strategic Pricing and Robotic Process Automation.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Bachelor’s Degree.

+ 7+ years of experience

+ 5+ years of demonstrated Life Sciences Revenue Management knowledge and operating experience (including Government Pricing and Commercial Operations)

+ Project Management experience managing large scale projects that involve business process changes and change management

+ Cultural acuity and ability to understand customer perspective

+ Effective interpersonal and leadership skills

+ Outstanding Presentation Skills and prior experience presenting to executives

+ High level of familiarity with all applicable laws and regulations and commercial contract operations processes

+ Excellent financial analytical skills a must in addition to advanced capabilities with Excel, Access, or equivalent database management tool.

+ Demonstrated ability to clearly and accurately interpret and communicate (written and oral) procedures and policies.

+ Ability to manage projects and provide guidance/training to direct reports and others in the department as needed.

+ Attention to detail and deadlines, and a history of adherence to policies and procedures is critical.

Preferred:

+ 3+ years of demonstrated Managed Markets Life Sciences Industry knowledge

+ Working knowledge with Model N application
