Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator/SQL Database Developer to join our client’s team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database structures, principles, theories, and practices’; the role also requires you to understand system requirements to project commitments then translates into detailed system designs.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.

+ Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance.

+ Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

+ Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.

+ Ensure that all system objectives are met and offer guidance to team members.

+ Develop high-quality database solutions. Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions.

+ Use effectively SQL for developing complex queries and stored procedures.

+ Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.

+ Provide timely scheduled management reporting. Investigate exceptions regarding asset movements.

+ Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to understand and meet objectives.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant field.

+ Proven work experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role with at least 3 years of experience. Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and MCTS or MCITP Certifications.

+ Proficiency in understanding code versioning tools, such as Git. In-depth understanding of data management (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring).

+ Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.

+ Excellent analytical and organization skills.

+ Able to understand front-end user requirements and a problem-solving attitude.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
