Job Description
Position Summary :
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing angiographic/interventional procedures by assisting in the scrub role and the imaging component of all procedures. May also support the team by monitoring and entering procedure data in the Merge hemodynamic system.
Provides technical assistance for cardiology and interventional radiology diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures plus some aspects of electrophysiology. It requires on-call status on a rotating basis to ensure coverage for specialized exams ( i.e., Angiography, etc.) during off-hours. The Interventional Radiology Technologist is expected to be a technical expert.
Position Requirements :
+ Graduate of an approved radiological technology approved school.
+ Registered ARRT and IEMA
+ CPR & ACLS required.
+ RCIS/RCES preferred.
+ Call requirements, must live within 30 minutes of hospital. Able to function in emergency situations.
