Job Summary:

As a Digital Product Owner, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager Digital Products. Your main responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring procurement capabilities in order to provide globally effective and applicable business solutions. As a member of the Digital Supply team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. What You Will Do:

- Serve as the lead digital product owner enabling the source to contract transformation, for the Analytics and Item Master modules in PROcure.

- Work directly with a wide range of Caterpillar’s Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) team members, enterprise representatives, and suppliers including presenting recommendations to senior divisional leaders.

- Own the quality of designed and configured module to ensure successful deployment.

- Lead development of Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) workflows and utilize the analytic functions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Support process partner groups or deployment sites through the “delta-dip” process and technology change.

- Collects and interprets voice of the customer information to direct new and enhanced service offerings.

- Own product scorecards and strategic product roadmap for accountable modules

- Recommend areas for proactive service offering improvements.

- Own regression testing and defect resolution prior to system go live, and post go live.

- Support end to end and user acceptance testing.

Education Requirement:

- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Software Change Request Management:

- Manages all aspects of the change request process.

- Researches new tools and techniques for monitoring product efficacy.

Software Engineering:

- Identifies considerations for product integration with multiple platforms and systems.

- Works with development or delivery of a software package or component.

- Describes phases, activities, deliverables and processes for a specific methodology.

- Works with structured documents for developing features, functions, plans and schedules.

- Describes software design practices, technologies, and considerations.

Software Problem Management:

- Documents resolution progress and provides feedback to customers.

- Describes issues and consideration for resolving problems involving other products or vendors.

- Works with tracking and resolving common types of problems for a product or product group.

- Describes actions, tools, and procedures for problem reporting, solving, and resolution.

- Cites examples of unusual problems; follows proper notifications and escalation procedures.

Software Product Business Knowledge:

- Participates in enhancing the process and expanding opportunities.

- Collects, documents, and maintains product functional requirements; makes recommendations.

- Supports and participates in major installations and customizations.

- Maintains and disseminates information on customer use and experiences.

- Has knowledge of all advanced business features and functions of the product.

- Relates experiences with unusual or non-traditional uses; assesses opportunities and challenges.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

- Compares and contrasts features and benefits of major acceptance testing frameworks.

- Critiques user acceptance plans for appropriateness and completeness.

- Develops approaches for acceptance testing following legal or contractual agreements.

- Monitors end-users in defining the testing environment and acceptance criteria; explains the importance of being actively involved in test designs and other testing phases.

- Applies user acceptance testing in typical software development scenarios.

- Consults on test strategies, components, processes, plans and approaches during the user acceptance testing process.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position may require up to 10% travel.
