Parts & Service Consultant

Leads research and provides expertise in the development and implementation of Lifecycle Management marketing strategies. This role is part of the Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) Lifecycle team covering C175, 3500, 3600, and Medium Vee engine products.

What you will do:

Key deliverables include ensuring a high level of parts availability for existing and future applications. The role will interact with LPSD Industry and business partners to execute this responsibility in a timely manner. The role works with LPSD internal component and supply chain teams to execute on parts availability. Additional responsibilities in the Lifecycle area could include Branding strategy, setting up consistent parts listings on Parts.cat.com, and Aftermarket Growth Guide elements.

- Analyzing company profile and its operations to develop and align the marketing strategies with the organization’s goals and objectives.

- Conducting market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and industry trends.

- Establishing metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of existing marketing strategies; suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

- Maintaining effective internal communications in the marketing department to discuss and align the marketing strategy to the changing organizational scenarios.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience desired

Skill Descriptors:

Customer Focus: Working Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Consulting: Basic Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

Effective Communications: Basic Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Basic Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management: Basic Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Strategic Thinking: Basic Knowledge of the importance of “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Top Candidates will also have:

+ Experience in with Caterpillar products and NPI

+ Experience in dealer network or aftermarket parts

+ Strong communications skills
