The End User Computing Engineer is pivotal in bolstering the enterprise’s hardware infrastructure, ensuring its reliability , efficiency , and performance . This role serves as a crucial technical ally, advocating for and enforcing established standards and procedures that underpin the managed infrastructure, thereby guaranteeing its operational stability. The incumbent is tasked with deploying dependable hardware solutions that not only preserve the integrity of the existing infrastructure but also align with customer goals. A collaborative spirit is essential, as this role involves fostering teamwork and creating synergies with IT colleagues throughout the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

+ Requirements Analysis: Elicit and document business and technical specifications for hardware solutions, including laptops, desktops, displays, and mobile devices.

+ Hardware Strategy: Determine optimal hardware configurations, computing images, and system specifications.

+ Project Leadership: Guide the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of complex hardware platforms, operating systems, software, system tools, and IT processes.

+ Solution Evaluation: Assess business needs and endorse hardware enhancements that improve system availability, reliability, scalability, and security, while minimizing total cost of ownership.

+ Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with hardware deployments, including BIOS, firmware, and drivers.

+ Standards Development: Craft and codify enterprise-wide standards and procedures.

+ Compliance Assurance: Validate that platforms and systems adhere to enterprise and industry standards, including systems management and security protocols.

+ Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to the enterprise as required.

+ Documentation: Generate comprehensive documentation for all engineered solutions.

+ Lifecycle Management: Oversee the hardware lifecycle for an extensive enterprise network exceeding 100,000 devices.

Qualifications:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).

+ Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable knowledge of VMWare Workspace ONE, Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), hardware components, benchmarking, TPM, BIOS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

+ Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

+ Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively, fostering team success through mentorship and knowledge sharing.

+ Technical Expertise: Ongoing commitment to expanding expertise in architecture, engineering, and operational support of end-user device management within a large-scale enterprise.

+ Project Management: A track record of managing intricate technical projects and delivering innovative solutions.

+ Problem-Solving: Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities, with a history of overcoming complex technical challenges.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

+ Experience with SCCM to Workspace ONE migration.

+ Proficiency in SysTrack analysis and reporting.

+ Competence in SharePoint design.

Experience:

+ At least five years of progressive responsibility in Enterprise Endpoint Engineering.

+ Over five years of experience in integrating diverse complex solutions into a unified enterprise standard.

Skills:

+ Expertise in SCCM, PowerShell, Active Directory, application packaging, Intune, Microsoft suite, PowerShell scripting, desktop management, Windows environment, troubleshooting, Workspace ONE, hardware management, imaging, scripting, desktop engineering, and configuration.
