Collins Aerospace Technical University (CATU) is a high performing dynamic team that manages a large scope of technical learning and development for Collins Aerospace. We are skilled change-adapters who work efficiently and effectively to complete many different tasks including instructional design, learning administration, course production, tool management, and more! The CATU Lead is a working leader and must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. Each member of CATU has a specialty but can step into others’ tasks when needed.

What you will do:

+ Perform people leader tasks, such as performance reviews, individual development plan, team morale activity, and work task prioritization.

+ Manage “dotted-line” team members in GETC.

+ Perform strategic planning, including increment planning (Agile), goal alignment, and long-range planning.

+ Manage the CATU annual and 5-year budget.

+ Own the CATU Training Leads annual planning event, plan execution, and course management process.

+ Work with the Collins Workday Learning Governance Board representative to manage team admin rights, advise governance document, and all required compliance waivers.

+ Facilitate the course cleanup effort, which includes tool transitions, global trade classifications, course material updates, and database updates.

+ Facilitate the SharePoint Online transition for CATU site pages.

+ Own the CATU standard work instructions.

+ Partner with the Digital Technologies (DT) BRM on tool needs.

+ Represent Collins on the RTX Engineering Learning Council

+ Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time

Qualifications you must have:

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

+ Large scale project planning management: budget, schedule, risks/opportunities

+ 2+ years experience leading and influencing indirect teams

Qualifications we prefer:

+ Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

+ O365 Suite, SharePoint, and SurveyMonkey tool experience

+ Learning and development experience

+ Direct people leadership – ability to influence and inspire inside and outside of reporting structure

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

*This position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD – 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
