Job Description:

McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, McDonald’s is standing up a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Modernization (GI Mod) program. This program will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

This program presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Spend Transformation Lead for GI Mod. This is a unique role critical to supporting the GBS Spend Transformation workstream within GI Mod, which is focused on unblocking value in the procurement of indirect goods and services for our Corp and US business. This workstream is focused on delivering near-term value capture and unlocking non-working dollars to fund broader Global Business Services transformation at McDonald’s.

Reporting to the GI Mod Overall Program Lead, the role is responsible for oversight and execution of critical initiatives to source, contract, and drive value across key indirect good and services business needs, marrying strong business and financial acumen to indirect sourcing and procurement expertise whilst driving business behavior change, better commercial outcomes and optimal business experience.

Key responsibilities will include oversight and assurance of sourcing initiative execution, leadership of the Deal Review Board which defines the optimal sourcing and contracting approach for all Corp & US indirect goods and service’s needs, and identification of new opportunities to better leverage McDonald’s scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Leadership and Oversight of the Spend Transformation Project, ensuring execution of strategic initiatives to meet savings commitments for Corp and the US business.

+ Governance and reporting for project, providing weekly status updates, leadership reporting and working closely with Finance and the Value Realization office to track and measure savings against commitments.

+ Business partnering to drive behavior change, resolve issues and pain points and ‘clearing the path’ for initiative execution.

+ Running governance and reporting for Deal Review Board, a policy and business forum designed to provide one intake route for all Corp & US indirect goods and services needs, defining the appropriate sourcing and contracting approach for procurement to deliver savings.

+ Oversight and execution of 60+ sourcing initiatives to improve commercial outcomes across key categories of indirect spend.

+ Identifying new areas of opportunity to exceed Spend Transformation savings targets.

+ Collaboration and horizontal ways of working across GBS, Global Strategic Sourcing Services, Global Technology VMO and broader business programs connected to Spend Transformation

+ Oversight of external resources and procurement services contracted to support initiative execution

Qualifications:

+ Extensive experience in sourcing and procurement across indirect categories.

+ Strong understanding of Procurement processes, with a track record of delivering cost transformation outcomes for organizations.

+ Proven project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and mitigate risks.

+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

+ Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level opportunities into actionable plans and initiatives.

+ Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

+ Change management expertise, including experience leading organizational change efforts.
