Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician

1st shift/ $26- $34

Aerotek is now hiring for a 1st shift electrical/mechanical assembly technician in Peoria, IL!

Description:

+ Assemble custom products and systems

+ Follow blueprints and schematics provided by engineering team

+ Perform work on components related to the following: pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing

+ Perform basic electrical system routing and wiring

+ Perform surface finishing as needed using pneumatic polishing tools

+ Operate hand tools, power tools, and machine tools daily to assemble projects

+ Utilize procedure manuals

+ Follow all safety rules and regulations

+ Utilize precision gaging tools to check accuracy of assembly

+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in technical assembly or maintenance

+ Previous mechanic experience preferred

+ Ability to read and utilize blueprints/ schematics

+ Previous experience using hand and power tools

+ Associates degree or certification in industrial electrical technology or mechanic related field preferred

+ High School Diploma/ GED
