Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in inspecting incoming and outgoing parts, articles, materials, and documents to ensure compliance with FAA guidelines. Your responsibilities will include assembling kits, maintaining shipment tracking using SAP, and working with aircraft and aerospace parts. You will utilize tools such as micrometers and calipers to measure parts accurately. In instances of non-conformity, you will be required to write up detailed reports. The role involves handling up to 200 parts per day, documenting, scanning, and computer work. You will be working a 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with an initial 40-hour week that may increase after 2-3 months of training.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily inside a warehouse at a workstation where you will verify documents and ensure they meet FAA standards. The warehouse temperature can vary with the weather, and the role requires you to be mostly stationary, either sitting or standing. The department consists of about 40 people with teams divided between Inbound and Outbound tasks.
