responsibilities:
They are seeking a Controller that will be directly responsible for all accounting and finance functions reporting directly to the President.
+ Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and reconciliations and performance against budgets.
+ Analyze, track, and review project budgets in a timely manner. Prepare project budget forecasts and report variances.
+ Work with Project Managers to understand develop project performance metrics.
+ Accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements and reporting to the President.
+ Oversee payroll processing, employment audits and related external reporting for the company.
+ Review and improve and further development of internal controls as organization expands.
+ Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
+ Manage financial transactions (payments/collections) with customers and vendors.
+ Preparation of year-end financial statements and work-papers, and coordination with external audits.
qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance (CPA required)
+ Previous experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller or Senior Accountant role with a Project Based organization.
+ Previous experience in a Supervisory/ Management role
