Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Marketing Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within our Marketing Organization, our Document and Content Management Team manages the creation, updating, and storing of various content, communications & digital assets. We are seeking an AVP, Platform Manager to own the product roadmap and development of our document management platform(s). The Platform Manager is a thought leader that is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of documents, from creation and storage, to retrieval across Synchrony. This role leads a team of onshore and offshore talent. The Platform Manager will serve as a thought leader for the Marketing Organization by championing process simplification, language standardization and continuous improvement opportunities to drive growth and improve speed to market. This role will also provide leadership in architecture, design and planning to support Docu-Nova platform provisioning, build deployments, integrations, software configurations and release engineering processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Own the creation and delivery of the strategic roadmap and delivery of all document management applications, including template building, standardizations and process simplification

+ Provide leadership, hands-on support and strong people management for a team of individuals responsible for the execution of activities designed to ensure content accuracy and on-time delivery

+ Liaise with key business partners to oversee activities pertaining to the interpretation of specifications for new builds, release scheduling, deployments, installations and configurations for all document management applications and related platforms – including databases

+ Lead efforts to evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities to increase productivity, enhance document management applications while maintaining quality and accuracy

+ Effectively engage with internal business teams at all levels

+ Create and modify XML Schema Definitions (XSD), and Business Objects as required

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive work experience, OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 9+ years of work experience to include:

+ 5+ years of IT and software management experience in the Financial Services industry

+ 3+ years of XML, XSD, Data Model, Java and JavaScript experience

+ 5+ years of Project Management, preferable Agile

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desired Characteristics:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Information Technology

+ People management experience

+ Prior work experience supporting Marketing functions

+ Prior work experience in Financial Services

+ Oracle database experience

+ Workfront experience

+ Experience working in and navigating a highly regulated business

+ Strong problem solving, analysis and reporting skills

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
