Data Science Solutions Consultant

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 233 South Wacker Drive, Suite 3700, Chicago, IL 60606

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Data Science Solutions Consultant will design and develop analytic models, ETL (extract transform load) and MAD (model analytics dataset), and supporting tools, which enable Data Scientists to create algorithms/models in a big data ecosystem.

How you will make an impact:

- Design, implement, and delivery of an insights data pipeline supporting analytic products across the organization.

- Design and integrate data from different sources.

- Form analytics platform components and processing components required to provide a business solution.

- Leverage data, technology, and quantitative methods to form products that inject analytics and insights into the daily workflow of teams.

- Define application scope and objectives, including impact to interfaces.

- Ensure appropriate data testing is completed and meets test plan requirements.

- Coordinate integration actions to ensure successful implementation.

- Administer analytical projects and pilots for tool upgrades.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in related occupation(s).

Additional Requirements:

Two (2) years of experience must include:

- Two (2) years of experience in Linux environment, including shell scripting.

- Two (2) years of experience in Teradata and complex SQL.

- One (1) year of experience in NoSQL databases.

- One (1) year of experience in Hadoop technologies, including HDFS, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, MapReduce, Scala, Spark, and distributed processing.

- One (1) year of experience working in an Agile environment.

- One (1) year of experience in at least one of the following: Database Strategy, Data Modeling, Data Pipelines and ETL Architecture, API and messaging architectures, or BI development and design.
