Job Title: Construction Supervisor – Colchester, IL
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for community solar projects. This role involves managing day-to-day operations and administrative duties on-site, ensuring construction projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Construction Supervisor will report directly to the Lead Construction Manager, providing daily progress and safety reports, managing subcontractors, and enforcing safety and regulatory policies. Additionally, the role includes setting productivity standards, developing schedules, and coordinating logistics.

Searching for an experienced construction superintendent for community solar projects in Illinois, all approximately 1-2.5 MW
Responsibilities:
+ Construction Supervisors will be responsible for managing the day to day operations/administrative duties on site.
+ A typical day will start with them on site in the trailer and managing the construction of the project
+ They will be reporting directly to the Sr. Construction Manager for the projects and will be responsible for sending them daily reports of progress and safety managing the sub vendors on site and working with the foreman from their sub vendors
+ Enforce safety/regulatory policies and procedures
+ Set daily/weekly productivity standards for contractors and subs
+ Develop 3 week look ahead schedule and work with the Sr. Construction Manager to ensure schedule is met
+ Coordinate deliveries or equipment with logistics team and subs
+ Reviews print, project plans, and specifics on a daily basis
Qualifications:
+ Construction management experience – commercial (electrical or civil)
+ Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management or vast construction management experience
+ Must be able to read blueprints and schematics (electrical)
+ Experience managing sub vendors
+ Knowledge of PDF, word and excel (Microsoft Office)- MUST be computer savvy
+ OSHA 10, OSHA 30
+ Able to be onsite daily, no relocation
+ Must have valid work authorization
+ Must have valid driver’s license
+ Must be able to pass standard drug test
Nice to Have:
+ Solar experience
+ Electrician/electrical experience
Work Environment
The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer, hosting a variety of electrical and civil subcontractors. Work hours are Monday to Friday, generally 40 hours per week from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with some option for overtime. The dress code is construction attire including jeans, t-shirt, and proper PPE.
