Job Description

The main function of a Process Control Engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. The successful candidate will have the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints. The role includes studying time motion methods and speed involved in maintenance production and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency. The engineer will also interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas, and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. The role will involve planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules and anticipated delays, as well as preparing charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling and machine utilization.

Hard Skills

+ Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports

+ Experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field such as Computer Aided Design CAD

+ MS Office – outlook, teams, power BI

+ Understanding of Supply chain knowing freight first c freight or hot track fluid in that language

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Chillicothe, Illinois and some days remote.

Work Environment

This is a Mon-Fri. 7:30-4 role, which includes a half hour lunch break. A typical day will include leading meetings with teams and follow up reaching out to buyer, facility contact, the suppliers themselves including phone calls emails. Some face to face with internal buyers. They would also be analyzing data, working on demand, recognize that ahead of time. Can we shuffle work, maybe change in direct them in focusing hours on another part number. The work environment is office-based.
