This position works out in our facilities of Lake Forest IL, in the Diagnostics Division.

What You’ll Work On
Primary Job Function:
Responsible for providing P&L financial planning and analysis services to Abbott Core DX Global Commercial & Finance leadership. Position will be expected to assess reasonableness/relevance of key financial assumptions related to revenue planning (Price, sales growth driver analysis) to identify risks/opportunities while preparing financial reports (such as LBE’s) that meet the timing and quality of presentation requirements, facilitating management review and decision making while ensuring integrity of data and compliance with Abbott’s operating policies. In addition, position provides financial leadership to our Commercial HQ Support Teams (Marketing, Commercial Excellence) and will manage 1 direct report.
Key Job Responsibilities include:
+ Supports Management in development of financial Long Range Planning (OEM) and Portfolio Management as well as tracking/monitoring progress, profitability and return on investment.
+ Responsible for managing efficiency and effectiveness of Capital investment through triangulation of Sales Share Capture, Instrument Utilization, and investment payback period.
+ Responsible for managing Global Marketing Headquarters cost center & Commercial Excellence cost centers and partnering with Global Marketing DVP & Commercial Excellence DVP.
+ Develop flexible, comprehensive tools to support commercial program proposals focused on ROI and fully burdened margin profitability to support various business needs, including training to improve the financial understanding of the key nonfinancial commercial management & staff.
+ Coordinates with areas to prepare financial plan packages for Sr. Management and prepare responses to corporate follow up questions.
+ Maintains controls to assure the integrity of assets and the compliance with GAAP includes ensuring compliance with Corporate & Division financial policies and procedures.
+ Maintain and develop system solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning & reporting requirements.
+ Ensure appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate & Division financial policies and procedures.
+ Establish competent and appropriately staffed finance team to support current and future needs of the business and functional organizations
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Minimum 7 years finance and supervisory experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting and Financial Reporting)
Preferred Qualification
+ Commercial FP&A and business partnership experience is preferred
+ Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems
+ Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting
+ Ability to lead and influence global cross-functional project team.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
