Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The Transition to Practice Program Coach provides staff hired into the programs with ongoing guidance to achieve their greatest potential. Responsible for monitoring onboarding / orientation process and implementing changes. Conducts and facilitates classroom and on the job training to synthesize knowledge, increase skill development and promote interpersonal growth. Works closely with preceptors and unit leadership. Completes and evaluates benchmark data for each orientee. Aids in the planning and execution of the programs events. Provides a high level of support to staff hired through the programs to support strong retention and engagement. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associate’s Degree in Nursing or BSN LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire National Nursing Certification required within (3) years of of hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three (3) years of ambulatory nursing experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Able to develop creative solutions and outside the box thinking. Welcomes and seeks out feedback to improve performance. Passionate about serving others well. Seeks out opportunities to create and develop working relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintain a positive outlook regardless of situation. Able to provide feedback that is constructive and affirming Achieves and maintains a high level of emotional intelligence. Essential Functions:

+ Monitors and completes competency modules.

+ Support staff through intensive rounding in department and individual coaching sessions.

+ Collaborate with team members to develop schedules and create preceptor assignments.

+ Conducts analysis through the onboarding / orientation process to assure advancement of skill and provision of safe patient care.

+ Conducts classroom orientation using a variety of learning methods.

+ Support staff by rounding and following up.

+ Maintain clear communication with department leadership teams.

+ Support recruitment and retention events as needed.
