Senior Payroll Analyst - SAP

Job Description

Payroll Administration:
Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including data entry, calculations, and deductions for multiple states.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Validate payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
Stay up to date with changing payroll laws and regulations.
Answers employee payroll inquiries in a fast and efficient timeframe
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Generate required adhoc and standardized reports.
Conduct audits to validate the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing data integrity.
Participate in system enhancements and upgrades, providing input on payroll system requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on multi-state payroll administration.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software and systems specifically SAP GV ADP and Workday.
Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
