Medical Assistant - Chicago, Near Talcott and Harlem

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

* Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.

* Provide collaborative nursing support.

* Maintain efficient patient flow.

* Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.

* Administer appropriate injections.

* Take vitals.

* Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.

* Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.

* Other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* High School degree or GED.

* 2 years experiernce as a Medical Assistant

* BLS Certification required

* CPR Certification required

* Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

* Phlebotomy skills highly desired
