Job Description
Heritage is current searching for a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of related experience and be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process from start to finish, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the revenue cycle process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team. Individuals in these positions must be able to work Monday - Friday (40 hours each week).
Responsibilities Include:
Submit electronic and manual claims adhering to strict deadlines
Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance.
Identify and resolve billing issues
Develop and maintain relationships with payers
Work with other departments to ensure accurate billing information is provided
Post and work claim denials
Post Insurance payment
Other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with supervisor
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of previous experience in medical billing, coding, and/or collection. Must have knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding.
Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
