What you'll be doing:
As a technical expert in this position, he/she will apply an in-depth understanding of multiple disciplines and business to solve technical challenges with innovative solutions. He/She is responsible for designing project protocols, performing laboratory experiments, collaborating with engineers and scientists in business units, interpreting experimental data, and writing reports in support of product development and manufacturing activities.  Well versed in the theory and practice of mass spectrometry. Seasoned in applying mass spectrometric, chromatographic, and spectroscopic methods for structure determination of unknown compounds, and for the quantitation of trace level organic compounds.  Additionally, he/she must function as technical matter expert in the area of structure elucidation.

What you'll bring:
Ph.D. in chemistry or equivalent with more than 5 years of relevant experience in working with mass spectrometry. Well versed in the theory and practice of mass spectrometry. Seasoned in applying mass spectrometric, chromatographic, and spectroscopic methods for structure determination of unknown compounds, and for the quantitation of trace level organic compounds. Trained in method development and validation in a GLP/GMP environment. Well versed in study protocol and report writing and in presenting study results verbally. Have extensive experiences in directing/managing complex long/short term projects/programs.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 to $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
