Description
Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator serves as the coordinator and responsible party for the administrative development and management of confidential statewide document retrieval, storage and distribution programs and processes for the Office of Correctional Medicine's (OCM) Quality Integration Unit. Collaborates with internal and external resources to locate subject matter experts for delivery of best practice information. This position requires travel to correctional facilities throughout the State of Illinois. 
 Examples of Duties
Administration - 100%


Manages, develops, coordinates and maintains the centralized, confidential and statewide document retrieval, storage and distribution programs and processes for the Office of Correctional Medicine's (OCM) Quality Integration Unit.
Sets, interprets and communicates operating policies and processes for the Quality Integration Unit and trains and mentors staff on same.
Serves as primary liaison with partners and correctional facilities on Quality Integration Unit's document retrieval processes.
Prepares and recommends short-term and long-term strategic, organizational and budgetary planning and working documents for the OCM relating to statewide document retrieval, storage and distribution programs and processes, and new initiatives.
Responsible for planning and preparation for presentations and training materials.
Reviews facility travel scheduling and makes recommendations on opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for direct supervision of statewide document retrieval, storage and distribution programs and processes functions.
Fosters relationships with multiple groups and organizations to obtain and maintain OCM's role of high standards in the field of correctional medicine.
Maintains an overall awareness of organizational activities of import or impact to the designated member(s) of the unit staff and the unit; develops and trains OCM staff and partners on ethical, compassionate and non-judgmental aspects and techniques needed in the performance of services.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree One (1) year of work experience in program development, administration, and/or coordination
