The Business Analyst is responsible for assessing and analyzing business processes for operational effectiveness as part of the Project Management Office. Identifies, designs and implements process improvement solutions. Serves as a liaison between assigned business unit and PMO, providing in-depth knowledge of the functional capabilities of specific software applications and a functional understanding of the user environment. This is a HYBRID position offering a combination of remote and onsite work.
Essential Functions:
Subject Matter Expert on business processes as well as the systems that support the business.
Work with the business units to develop enterprise workflow processes utilizing the Jack Henry workflow system.
Monitor workflow statuses and follow-up with business units.
Builds test scripts based on design specifications and configurations and assist with validation tasks.
Develops SDLC documentation to explain product functionality, processes, workflows and data flows.
Develops automated scripts for improving and automating processes for the business units.
Gathers requirements for a request, product proposal and/or for the project process
Researches vendor and software solutions.
Collaborates with the PM and Business to complete the Project Scope Document.
Assigned as a System Admin and assists the business and/or vendor on workflow decisions and configurations as well as solution build.
Investigates root cause and assist with identifying resolution.
Assists business to develop process improvements and process efficiencies.
Assists with the development and implementation of risk mitigation plans.
Provides post implementation support for system changes and updates via Change Management.
Maintains an understanding of assigned bank systems and how they relate to each other and their dependencies.
Responsible for understanding and maintaining software configuration settings for assigned systems.
Participates on project teams related to new product development and implementation and new banking software upgrades or migrations. Assesses impact of projects on assigned business unit(s).
Business Analytics
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field and two or more years of business/systems analysis, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Hybrid role - must be able to work onsite each week with flexibility to work remotely.
Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of banking operations.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Automation and Scripting Tools
Knowledge of API/Integration technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong technical writing ability
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Experienced in creating business analytics with visual and SQL based tools.
Preferred, but not required:
Technical experience with Jack Henry core banking software.
