The Director of Consumer Lending and Credit Card leads a team in attaining volume and profit goals, promoting loan and credit card products, underwriting consumer credit, and managing delinquencies/collections. Ensures applications follow state, federal, and organizational policies and guidelines and that clients have accurate information about product options. The Director of Consumer Lending and Credit Card conducts team training on company products and services. The primary lending products include Home Equity, Auto, Unsecured Loans, and Credit Card. This role coaches team members to promote a client-centric culture, improves selling techniques, and meets goals. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement strategic plans to grow consumer lending and credit card portfolios.
Identify market trends and opportunities to drive product innovation and competitive positioning.
Set performance goals and metrics to achieve business objectives.
Lead the development of new lending and credit card products that meet customer needs and align with the bank's strategic goals.
Oversee the management of existing products, ensuring they remain competitive and profitable.
Collaborate with marketing to create effective product promotion and customer acquisition strategies.
Implement and monitor credit risk policies and procedures to ensure portfolio quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Analyze and manage credit risk, delinquency rates, and loss performance.
Work closely with the risk management team to develop and maintain robust risk assessment models.
Streamline lending and credit card operations to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Implement best practices in loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections.
Utilize technology and data analytics to optimize processes and decision-making.
Ensure all lending and credit card activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Stay current with regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to manage audits and examinations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Enhance the customer experience by delivering high-quality lending and credit card products and services.
Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years in lending as a producer and 3+ years leading a team.

Skills:
Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy.
Thorough knowledge of Company's products and services.
Good communication and organizational skills to work with bank customers and other bank employees in a professional manner.
Proficient with technology.
Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures and respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
The individual must illustrate the ability to multitask and to prioritize issues that arise.
