Position Highlights:
Position: Medical Technologist
Location: Evanston Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, e/o week-end and rotating holidays
What you will need:
*Education:Bachelor or associate's degree and the requisite courses to meet CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
*License:N/A
*Certification:MT, MLS or MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent and ongoing active certification is strongly preferred.
*Skills:Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various lab areas. Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results and taking corrective action or notifying appropriate supervisory personnel. Good communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.

What you will do:
*Perform a variety of routine and special Laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager/Director, including rotating through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab/Section
*Provide training for new hires
*Provide support with employee competencies
*Provide support with MLS student clinical rotation training
*Provide support with SOPs (review, implementation, in-service)
*When there are no new hires, students, or competencies to be done, this position will assist with bench work
