Door Systems is currently hiring for an Overhead Door and pedsestrian Service Technician in Naperville, IL . Our Master Technicians are trained to install, repair and maintain all the industries products and access solutions. Customer service is the backbone of our organization and therefore customer service skills at a high level are necessary. Technicians operate in a designated area and operate a company vehicle throughout the customer sites. Technicians will maintain inventory, process administrative paperwork, provide exceptional customer service and work and drive in a very safe manner to prevent injury to self and others. Responsibilities · Door technicians service our various products, including but not limited to: sectional doors, rolling doors, fire doors, loading dock equipment, swing/slide gates, pedestrian doors, impact doors, rubber doors, fabric doors, and rollshutters. · Installing, wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide array commercial/industrial overhead doors, dock equipment, motors, and controls · Interact with the customer, end-user and general contractor in a courteous and professional manner at all times. · Participate in training programs offered. · Company provides 24 hour service, 7 days a week. Our technicians work on call on a rotational basis. · Standard business hours are 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Must have ability to work overtime, weekends. Working Conditions: · This position has working conditions that expose you to various weather conditions and require you to work in a dirty, dusty, oily environment. · Physical requirements include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, most of the time with infrequent opportunities to sit. · Heavy lifting is required throughout the day (60/70lbs), sometimes overhead · Must be able to climb and work from a ladder height of 12 feet. · Use of powered lift equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts (will provide training should your certifications not be up to date) · Use of hand tools and power tools (Own hand-tools required, Company will provide power tools) Qualifications · Mimimum 5 years as a journeyman level technician, servicing overhead doors. · Mechanical aptitude, Positive Attitude, Willingness to Learn and a Focus on Safety are all qualities that we look for in our team members. · Clean driving record with current valid license · Welding and/or electrical experience helpful · Excellent communication skills, telephone and written skills We are the ASSA ABLOY Group Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
